In reality, however, this amounts to the brutal objectification of human care under the guise of optimisation. This volume's contributors plead for a radical change of course and demand a deprofessionalisation of the social sector. Rather than understanding this as a concrete program, however, they encourage getting rid of the corset of efficiency and a renewed focus on the uncompromised skills of affection and generosity. | ||
