Und wie können wissenschaftshistorische Ansätze zum Verständnis einer Zukunftstechnologie beitragen?Am Fallbeispiel Münchens untersucht Christian Kehrt die Entstehung nanotechnologischer Forschungsfelder und fragt unter Einbeziehung politischer, wirtschaftlicher, medialer und historischer Perspektiven danach, ob sich hier ein grundlegender Wandel der Wissenschaftskulturen abzeichnet. Kontinuitäten zeigen sich insbesondere im Bereich der experimentellen Halbleiter- und Biophysik, deren Akteure sich in den 1990er-Jahren am forschungspolitisch motivierten Diskurs der Nanotechnologie neu orientiert haben.
