In den beiden sich daran anschließenden Kapiteln und wird das immobilienwirtschaftliche Geschehen auf zweierlei Untersuchungsebenen der Volkswirtschaftslehre analysiert: aus makroökonomischer (Kapitel 3) und aus mikroökonomischer Sichtweise (Kapitel 4). Im Zentrum des 5. Kapitels stehen die Betrachtung der Einflussmöglichkeiten der öffentlichen Hand als rechtlicher und steuerlicher Rahmengeber und die damit verbundenen Auswirkungen auf die Immobilienmärkte. Das Buch schließt mit Kapitel 6, welches sich dem immobilienwirtschaftlichen Verbandswesen in Deutschland annimmt.
