Weitere Beiträge erschließen die Reiseliteratur dieser Jahrzehnte. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Reiseliteraturgeschichte des "Dritten Reiches", die bisher noch kaum erforscht wurde.

A central concern of the first group of articles is to point up various aspects of the 'modernization' of travel as reflected in the expansion of tourism and in transportation progress. Subsequent contributions look at travel literature in the period in question. Major emphasis is given here to the history of travel literature in the Third Reich, a subject hitherto largely neglected.
