INDEX NOMINUM
Summary:A new edition of the Aeneid requires not only a systematic and reliable assessment of the text, but also a satisfactory and complete description of the manuscripts’ transmission. Here, the seven Late Antique codices were studied anew; the recensio also draws on sources from the Carolingian Age. To this end eight Carolingian testimonies never studied before were collated. The editio altera contains several corrections and additional conjectures.
