520 | |a Konon from Bidana was apostle to the region of Isauria, who spread the gospel of Christ to the inhabitants of the rugged mountains. At least this is the late ancient Greek story of the martyrdom of Konon, edited, translated, and introduced in this volume. Although Konon may not have actually died as a martyr, his cult disseminated rapidly through the Mediterranean world.
