Durch die Integration system- und handlungstheoretischer Aspekte, werden Diskurse als Orte des Bedeutungswandels beschreibbar. Im Zentrum der Analyse stehen dabei metaphorische Muster als diskurssemantische Einheiten. Das Fallbeispiel zum Diskursobjekts Virus belegt, dass relativ stabile Protometaphern immer wieder in innovativen Setzungen ausdifferenziert werden: Neben der Analyse der Metapherninventare zu Virus als Bildempfänger (z.B. Kampf gegen Viren), erfolgt die Dokumentation transdiskursiver Driften des Lexems, die dazu führen, dass Virus in vielen Kontexten (in Zeitungsartikeln, in Bundestagsprotokollen und in Printanzeigen) auch als Bildspender fungiert (z.B. Virus der Korruption). Die Analyse von multikodalen Metaphern plausibilisiert die Diskurssensitivität von Bildern in Printanzeigen und führt zum Postulat der multikodalen Erweiterung von Diskursanalysen. Auf einer methodologischen Ebene evaluiert die Studie die Möglichkeiten, mit bestehenden Online-Textdatenbanken diskursanalytischen Fragen nachzugehen. | ||
