Der Informationsaustausch wird vielseitiger und schneller. So werden ständig neue Anforderungen an die Übertragungstechnik gestellt, deren Aufgabe es ist, die Informationen mit einer hohen Qualität schnell und rationell zu übertragen. Dieses Buch der Nachrichtenelektronik bietet dem Leser die Möglichkeit, sich mit der umfangreichen und zukunftsweisenden Technik der Nachrichtenübertragung vertraut zu machen. In der Übertragungstechnik werden die Verfahren zur Aufbereitung der Signale in einer für die Übertragungstechnik geeigneten Form behandelt. Daneben werden die Eigenschaften der Übertragungswege, mögliche Beeinträchtigungen sowie spezielle übertragungstechnische Begriffe angesprochen. Soweit es zum grundlegenden Verständnis notwendig ist, werden Schaltbilder zur Erläuterung benutzt. Im Übrigen wird zur besseren Übersichtlichkeit das Zusammenwirken der verschiedenen Bauglieder innerhalb komplexer Schaltungen anhand von Blockschaltbildern erklärt. Praxisnahe Simulationen der Elektronik runden das Werk ab.
