Auflage des Küster/Thiel wird die bestehende Konzeption beibehalten werden: Die grundlegenden Rechenoperationen in der analytischen und der physikalischen Chemie werden bereitgestellt. Das Buch enthält Daten und Rechenbeispiele zur Auswertung quantitativer chemischer Analysen, zur Strukturaufklärung organischer Verbindungen und zur Bestimmung und Berechnung wichtiger physikalisch-chemischer Größen. Darüber hinaus werden die wesentlichen Prinzipien zur statistischen Bewertung von Analysenergebnissen, die Erfassung und Bewertung von Messwertabweichungen sowie die Validierung von Analysenverfahren dargestellt. Physikalische und physikalisch-chemische Größen, wichtige Formeln zu ihrer Berechnung sowie Einheiten und Umrechnungsfaktoren sind ebenfalls enthalten und erleichtern Berechnungen im analytischen Umfeld. Häufig gebrauchte Stoffdaten sowie Hinweise zur Arbeitssicherheit im analytischen Labor runden das Handbuch ab.
