Summary:This unique bibliography provides detailed and up-to-date bibliographic and buying information on over 4,000 English- and French-language Canadian periodicals. The second edition has been completely redesigned to facilitate the location of entries, and the presentation of information conforms to ISBD(S) practice. Entries include subscription price, frequency, ISSN, editor’s name, whether reviews are carried, year first published, where indexed or abstracted, languages used in the text, whether advertisements are accepted, and the nature of the contents. The arrangement is alphabetical by title, but all serials are listed in a subject index. A separate listing of publishers and their addresses, and a list of indexing and abstracting services are included. This major work, to be published every two years, will be invaluable to library reference and order departments, booksellers, and advertising and subscription agencies.
