1.[Shahr Yagill bin Yadaʿʾab, King of Qatabân, has promulgated and decreed from Ḥaṭabum, the tem-]2.[ple of ʿAmm Dhû-Dawânim and from Raṣafum, the temple of ʾAnbay-the patron-god-and on behalf of Shamas]3.[and the protector of Shahr for his vassals Maʿdîkarib of the lineage of Haybar and Waddʾîl of the lineage of Râbiḥ and their kinsmen,]4.[the priests of ʿAmm Dhû-Labakh and their wives, without any shortcomings or cessation or detraction or ]5. [ termination, for the patronage-tie of friendship and affiliation and protection, for (the sake of) ʿAmm and ʾAthîrat. Let, then, ]6. [ the priests of ʿAmm Dhû-Labakh and their wives hold themselves bound to this commandment. And Shahr has decreed for his vassals, ]7. [ the priests of ʿAmm Dhû-Labakh and their wives with their concurrence, in accordance with this commandment and (these) records. ]8. [ And Shahr has directed his vassals, the priests of Labakh, to inscribe and engrave these records in the valley ]9. [ of Labakh and in their designated place in the temple of ʿAmm Dhû-Labakh in Dhû-Ghaylim. The month of Bashimum, the ]10. [ first year of ʿAmmîʿalî Dhû-Gharîbum.
