Notes:This squeeze preserves only a small portion of an already fragmentary inscription. The break in the original inscription can be seen in the lower left-hand corner of the squeeze. From the direction of the characters preserved in this squeeze, it is evident that the inscription was written in boustrophedon. Inscriptions of this type invariably begin with a line that reads from right to left, the default direction of writing in Ancient South Arabian inscriptions. Since the first preserved line of this text reads from left to right, it can be assumed that there was at least one other line of text preceeded Line 1. How much further the text continued after the invocation of Dhāt-Baʿdān is not clear. Invocations of deities, employing the particle b-, are as a rule made towards the end of an inscription. This being the case, it can be assumed that this squeeze preserves the concluding portion of GL1555.
