John Philpot

John Philpot (1515–18 December 1555) was an Archdeacon of Winchester and an English Protestant martyr. He was burned at the stake in Smithfield on 18th December 1558. The story of his imprisonment and execution is recorded in ''Foxe's Book of Martyrs'' published in 1563. Provided by Wikipedia
