Miriam Green Ellis

Miriam Green Ellis (1879 – November 19, 1964) was an agricultural journalist best known for her 25-year career as western editor of the ''Family Herald and Weekly Star.'' Along with her mentor Cora Hind, she was a pioneering Western woman journalist at a time when the field was dominated by men. Her writing documented the early 20th century experience of the Canadian West, from country fairs to the impact of the Depression to the development of the oil sands. Provided by Wikipedia
