Dr. Simon Wedlund is a space physicist, specialist of kinetic aspects of the plasma surrounding planets and comets. To characterise, interpret and understand plasma phenomena in the solar system, he uses in-situ and remote sensing observations from the ground or on board space missions (MAVEN, Mars Express, Venus Express) in combination with 1-D kinetic transport and 3-D kinetic hybrid simulation platforms (Aeroplanets, HYB).
