Infineon CEO visit to ESI

After the sub auspiciis Praesidentis rei publicae ceremony of Dr. Mont. DI Sebastian Moser, Dr. Sabine Herlitschka, CEO of Infineon, visited ESI along with several colleagues from Infineon and KAI.

During the visit Jürgen Eckert, ESI’s director, gave an overview of ESI’s core areas of expertise: 1) Tailoring Functional Properties, 2) Plasticity, Fracture, and Fatigue, 3) Multi-scale Mechanics, 4) Structural and Interface Engineering, and 5) Non-equilibrium Materials Design. Group Leaders Megan Cordill, Daniel Kiener, and Jozef Keckes provided overviews of various projects where ESI and Infineon have collaborated. The discussions were followed by a short tour of some of ESIs core facilities in the fields of multiscale mechanics and severe plastic deformation.
