Rotten Rocks

Glaciers are melting in the Alps. This affects also the rock walls. If these become ice-free, they lose their hold, become porous and start to crumble. OeAW mountain researcher Kay Helfricht investigates in a new long-term project how Alpine rock walls become a rockfall risk.
