Kinderuni Vienna

We often hear that people used to believe that the earth was a disc. But is this true? What did people know about the world 1,000 years ago and beyond? What images did they have of the Earth? And how did they know it was round? We explore these questions, together with many images of our Earth, past and present.

Speaker: Johannes Preiser-Kapeller

When: 19 July, from 10:00 to 11:30 am

Where: Austrain Academy of Sciences
