... received his BSc in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien and his BA in History from the University of Vienna. He has been working at the Institute for Medieval Studies at the Austrian Academy of Sciences since 2015 and at ACDH-CH since 2017. His interests are medieval history, especially Eastern Europe, historical geography, GIS, API development and Python.

At the ACDH-CH, Bernhard Koschiček-Krombholz is part of the Cultural Heritage Artifacts and Context group within the research unit DH Research&Infrastructure. He is currently working on the further development of OpenAtlas, an open source database application, developed especially to acquire, edit and manage research data from various fields of humanities like history, archaeology and cultural heritage as well as related scientific data. Bernhard is mainly responsible for the API, but also takes care of the general development and hosting of OpenAtlas instances.
