Is Academy Scientist at the research unit Linguistics with a focus on (lexical) variation and change of the German language in Austria in the context of the Dictionary of historical Bavarian dialects in Austria and South Tyrol (WBÖ). In addition, he is lecturer at the department of German studies of the University of Vienna.
Prior to his work at the ACDH-CH, he was project staff at the SFB German in Austria. Variation - Contact - Perception (project part 08 standard varieties from the perspective of perceptual variationist linguistics). He also was involved in the project Aspects of (Multi)Lingualism in Austria: Competence - Usage - Attitudes.
