... received her master's degree in Musicology from the University of Vienna. She has worked as a freelancing music historian for various projects at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, e.g. Cantus Network, Medieval Music Manuscripts and Fragments of the Austrian National Library specializing in medieval plainchant manuscripts. Furthermore, she was employed as a student assistant at the University of Graz (ZIM-ACDH) where she is currently enrolled in the master's programme Digital Humanities.

As part of the research unit DH Research&Infrastructure at the ACDH-CH, Vera Maria Charvát contributes to the Horizon2020 project CLS INFRA, and is focusing her studies on Semantic Web Technologies as well as Data and Ontology Modelling.
