Information for attendees from Vienna:

Arrival
By public transport, we recommend that attendees from Vienna take the 06:58 RJ 553 from Wien Hbf to Graz Hbf (arriving at 09:34). Once in Graz there are a number of possibilities to get to the institute:

  • From Graz Hbf, the No. 4 Tram towards Liebenau, getting off at Liebenau Murpark.
  • Followed by the No. 75U bus towards Pachern P+R getting off at Schmiedlstraße. Alternatively it is a short (18 min) walk to the institute.

OR

  • From Graz Hbf, the No. 6 Tram towards St.Peter, getting off at Schulzentrum St.Peter.
  • Followed by the No. 76U bus towards Grambach Gewerbepark alighting at Graz Messendorf-Heimgarten.
  • From here it is a 7 min walk to the institute.

Alternatively there is the possibility of car sharing. In which case please contact Oliver Herbort (oliver.herbort@univie.ac.at), who will coordinate these.

Departure
For returning directly after the meeting, there is the possibility of taking a FlixBus from Murpark to Vienna departing at either 17:10 (requiring to leave the final discussion session early), or alternatively the one an hour later at 18:10. These arrive at Wien Westbahnhof at 19:25 and 20:25 respectively.

Alternatively there is the 18:25 RJ 374 from Graz Hbf to Wien Hbf (arriving at 21:02).

For those joining for the dinner, departing on the 20:25 RJ 850 from Graz Hbf to Wien Hbf (arriving at 23:02) should be possible.

Again, car sharing can be coordinated through Oliver Herbort.

The conference dinner will be at Kunsthauscafe (Südtiroler Pl. 2, 8020 Graz, 8010 Graz, Austria, https://kunsthauscafe.co.at) at 18:00, an excellent restaurant near Kunsthaus Graz (The Friendly Alien Museum), with vegetarian options.
