Czernin has studied musicology in Munich, Prague, and Vienna and was working for the Austrian Encyclopedia of Music (oeml) at the Austrian Academy of Sciences as well as multiple cultural institutions like the Czech radio Český rozhlas Vltava and the classical concert venue in Grafenegg.
