The focus of this volume is on narratives about societies in transition, on the cultural symbolism of this period, on the depiction of the path to democratisation of culture, public life and institutions. It also focuses on the forms of regionalisation of cultures, the emancipation of languages and smaller cultures, or emerging discourses of identity and their influence on post-transition societies. The categories of nation, community, memory play an important role. |
