Pawan Singh

Pawan Singh (popularly known as Powerstar) (born 5 January 1986) is an Indian politician, playback singer, actor, music composer, stage performer. He is known for his works in Bhojpuri Film Industry. He is widely regarded as one of the best singers in Bhojpuri film industry.

He began his musical career by working behind the scenes, playing harmonium in musical concerts. He has received two International Bhojpuri Film Awards. Called as Powerstar by his fans, Pawan Singh is known for films such as ankhiyan ladie Gail (2006), Mehendi rachaib tohare Naam ke (2007), Pratigya (2008), Rangbaaj raja (2012), Desh pardesh (2013), Thok deb (2013), Baazigar (2014), Muqabala (2015), Gadar (2016), Satya (2017), Wanted (2018), Crack Fighter (2019), Raja (2019), Jai hind (2019), Sher Singh (2019), Pawan putra (2020), Boss (2021), Mera Bharat Mahaan (2022), Dharma (2022), Har Har Gange (2023) etc. Pawan Singh is also the Box office king his 7 movies satya, tere jaisa yaar kahan, wanted, maa the salaam, crack fighter, Maine unko sajan Chun liya, jai hind has to hold the record to run more than 50 days continuously at theatres.

BJP declared his as a party Candidate to 2024 Indian General Election for Asansol Lok Sabha constituency but Singh denied to contest election from there. Later on, he decided to contest election from Karakat Lok Sabha constituency as a Independent candidate.
