Zmaga Kumer
Zmaga Kumer (April 24, 1924 – December 27, 2008) was a Slovenian musicologist and educator known for her research and writing on folk songs in Slovenia. She attended the University of Ljubljana and the Ljubljana Academy of Music. she taught at the Musicology Department of the Ljubljana Faculty of Arts, Ljubljana Academy of Music. She was also associated with the Ljubljana Institute of Ethnomusicology.She was the recipient of a Herder Prize as well as a Zois Award and a Strekelj Award. She was the author of many articles and books; notably ''Slovenska ljudska ghsbih in godei'' (Slovenian Folk Instruments and Musicians) and the textbook ''Etnomuzikologija'' (Ethnomusicology).
