Seminar: Satellite and space debris laser ranging
Satellite laser ranging covers a wide range of different techniques: laser technology, beam expansion, timing, geodetic coordinate transformations, satellite tracking or single photon detection. Followed by an introduction, current and previous research topics and projects incorporated at Graz SLR station in the recent years are discussed: Stare and chase, (daylight) space debris laser ranging, multi-static space debris laser ranging, attitude determination, single photon light curves, image & data analysis, laser and detection packages. An outlook covers future aspects, potential applications and challenges, specifically focusing on MHz laser ranging.
