Der Aufsatz untersucht Nick Bantocks Trilogie ›Griffin and Sabine‹ aus medienkomparatistischer
Perspektive. Dabei werden die Medien Postkarte und Brief gegenübergestellt, da mit
und durch diese erzählt wird. Der Rezipient wird zu einem aktiven Mit-Leser der privaten Kommunikation
zwischen Griffin und Sabine, welche durch intertextuelle Verweise, insbesondere
auf den Dichter W. B. Yeats, den Rahmen des Kunstwerks erweitert.

The essay looks at the postcards and letters in Nick Bantock’s trilogy ›Griffin and Sabine‹ from
a comparative perspective in media and literature studies. The recipient is actively included by
getting to read their intimate letters and postcards. Furthermore, there are lots of intertextual
references, especially related to the works of W. B. Yeats, extending the textual boarders.
