Der Problematik des Erinnerns und des Gedenkens widmet sich das gesamte Werk Paul Celans. Es schöpft aus der Anstrengung, die Erinnerung zu wahren und an die Leser als versprachlichtes Gedächtnis zu übermitteln. Der vorliegende Beitrag geht der Frage nach, wie die Erinnerung im Gedicht ›Wolfsbohne‹ hinsichtlich ihrer Textualität wirkt. Produktionsgeschichtlich gesehen, ist das Gedicht aus einem doppelten Trauma entstanden: – der Shoah–Erfahrung und der als verleumdend empfundenen Kritik G. Blöckers zum Band ›Sprachgitter‹. Die poetische Konstruktion des Gedichts wirft die Frage auf, wie Erinnerungsspuren textimmanent und intertextuell kommunizieren. Das Gedicht eröffnet für Celan einen Raum wachen Bewusstseins vom Geschehenen, doch zeigt sich die Erinnerung nie in Form eines vollendeten Narrativs. Die Fähigkeit der Erinnerung, immer neue Assoziationsnetze zu bauen, geht mit Vermehrdeutigungsstrategien der poetischen Sprache einher, so dass die Prozessualität der Sinnstiftung des Erinnerten und des zu Erinnernden die Leseprozesse mitbestimmt.
The whole poetry and all writings by Paul Celan are in tight connection with the problem of remembering and memory. It comes from the effort to preserve memory and to transfer remembrances to the reader. This article tries to investigate how memory and remembrances work in the poem ›Wolfsbohne‹ with regard to its own textuality. Keeping in mind the history of the events, the poem arises from a double trauma: the Shoah and a critical commentary of ›Sprachgitter‹ by G. Blöckers that Celan considered defaming. The poetical construction of the poem allows raising the question how memory traces communicate intertextually and within the text. The poem opens the space of awake consciousness of what has happened, but nevertheless, memory never appears in the form of a completed narrative. The ability of memory to build new association networks is accompanied with the duplicative ability and polysemantic nature of poetical language, so that the processuality of meaning-building within the remembered and what has to be remembered influences the processes of reading.
