Wurzbach Lexicon: data on music and theatre history

This database offers concise information on individuals significant to music and theater history, as featured in Constantin von Wurzbach’s Biographisches Lexikon des Kaiserthums Oesterreich (Biographical encyclopedia of the Austrian empire; 60 volumes, 1856–1923). Between 1999 and 2004, the lexicon’s content was analyzed and excerpted, leading to the creation of this MySQL database in 2013. The database is linked to a PDF version of the Wurzbach Lexicon.
