oeml – The Austrian Encyclopedia of Music

The Austrian Music Encyclopedia, which currently contains almost 10,000 articles on people, places and subjects (plus numerous illustrations, music and audio examples), is a fundamental reference work on Austrian music (history) in all its forms.

Currently, a custom XML format is used for article data; articles will be converted to TEI P5 by the end of 2024. This opportunity will also be used to re-launch the oeml website, with an updated design and numerous usability improvements.
