ABLO – Anton Bruckner encyclopaedia online

The Anton Bruckner Lexikon Online (ABLO) serves as an expanded and updated version of the 1996 reference work, Anton Bruckner: A Handbook. Developed between 2017 and 2022, with ongoing updates, this lexicon was created in collaboration with numerous international experts. It features over 1,360 entries, covering people, places, concepts, and all of Bruckner’s works, complemented by numerous illustrations and music examples. The ABLO was developed in collaboration with the DHRI department of the ACDH-CH and was integrated into the Bruckner online portal of the Department of Musicology. Long-term archiving and data compatibility are ensured through XML according to TEI standards.
