Lisa Teichmann is a PhD student in German and part of the “.txtLAB” at the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at McGill University. She holds an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from Leiden University and a BA in Oriental Studies from the University of Vienna. Her research focuses on the question of how computational text analysis methods and tools can form a repository for cross-cultural comparative literary analysis. She is especially interested in literary geography and the translation of spatial concepts in Turkish and German literature. She is a guest researcher at the Academiae Corpora of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
Ruiz Tinoco Antonio is Professor in the Department of Hispanic Studies of the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. His wide research interests cover corpus linguistics and linguistic infomatics with a special emphasis on mapping technologies and questions of lexical variation and syntactic variation in the varieties of Spanish. Academiae Corpora of the Austrian Academy of Sciences has a research agreement with Sophia University in Tokyo concerning data driven representation methods of language analysis.
