… has almost 30 years of experience in the digitization and processing of dialect data. Before joining ACDH-CH, she worked as an author on the print edition of the Dictionary of Bavarian Dialects in Austria (Wörterbuch der bairischen Mundarten in Österreich, WBÖ) and on associated digital projects. With her academic background in biology, she is particularly interested in dialectal animal and plant names. At ACDH-CH, she has been able to expand her skills through her work with other foreign language and dialect dictionaries and projects, focusing on text annotation, open innovation and citizen science. She is co-editor of two conference proceedings.

Since 2020, Barbara has been part of the Central Office team at ACDH-CH, where she is responsible for various administrative tasks. In addition, she is also the institute's Data Protection Officer.
