… received his degree in German Philology from the University of Vienna. During his studies, he initiated work on digital editions in the field of Austrian literature, with a specific focus on diary literature and theatre studies.

An integral part of the ACDH-CH since its inception, Daniel Schopper currently co-heads the unit Digital Humanities Research&Infrastructure. In this capacity, he guides the institute's technical and social infrastructure development across various projects. His efforts are dedicated to fostering mutual understanding among scholars and digital humanists in the effective use of digital methods and tools. Daniel is particularly passionate about innovative systems that enable scholars to reflect upon, leverage, and expand the possibilities of the digital paradigm in the arts and humanities.
